Initially used as a training aid at the SLR.Club's 2007 SAFETY AND SPEED Academy events, the first XR50-powered SLR.Kart offered club members a fast, thrilling ride. With effortless power and a power-to-weight ratio similar to the SLR McLaren road car, the SLR.Kart provided an exciting introduction to the world of top-level motorsports.

Far from being "a kid's toy", the SLR.Kart (with proper gearing) rocketed to 60 in under 5 sec. and reached a top speed well over 100 mph - and when photographs of the karts first appeared on the web, RENNTECH was overwhelmed by positive response!
